A few years ago someone gave us a vacuum sealer. While most of the time I think of it as a nice gadget, each time I cook freezer burned meat, I remember how useful it is.
A vacuum sealer is handy for wrapping large quantities of meats into smaller portions but it's also good for smaller quantities. My husband, Paul, likes to put chicken and a marinade in a vacuum bag and freeze it so he doesn't have to wait for the meat to thaw before he can add his marinade.
